2004 Memorial weekend Omak work party
Camping at Sweat Creek campground again. campground is dry. No water or power. bring your own.
Sweat Creek Campground on the
loop highway between Twisp and Malott.
Camping Friday through
Monday.
Activities include fishing, wildlife viewing, shooting, hiking, and
other outdoor activites.
4 hours of conservation project on sunday morning
followed by Pot Luck Dinner.
Car pooling to the conservation site.
Bring
your shovels, fence pliers, gloves, chain saws, post hole drivers and diggers.
water, food and camping gear.
Projects we will be working on:
Noxious weed control and fencing repair as we left off last year.
We will also be clearing and stacking slash from a logging site. The plan is to cut, stack and prepare the area for a fall burn to prepare the area for seeding in the spring. Gloves, boots, hard hats, ear and eye protection, chainsaws, axes, hand saws are basic personal equipment needed. Bring your logging chaps if you have some and borrow a pair if you can.

Also in conjuction with the work party a raffle for a shotgun will be
conducted. All proceeds from the raffle will be donated the the NRA Wildlife
and Hunting Foundation in the name of the Renton Fish & Game Club. Only 150
tickets will be sold. cost per ticket is $10.00. Good chance to pick up a shotgun
at a good price for a good cause.
